Audi R8 Carbon Fibre Rear Lower Bumper Splitters
As a factory option, Audi offer a body kit for the R8 called “Audi Sport Performance Parts”. One of the components included are the rear lower bumper splitters. These accentuate the look of the rear bumper giving a better stance and all round a more aggressive look. These parts aren’t just made for aesthetics as they smooth the air flow from the rear wheels in the same way as how a diffuser works. Audi charge very high prices for exterior carbon however the new range aims to tackle that providing the same look at a more affordable price without compromising quality.
The rear lower bumper splitters are made up lightweight and strong carbon fibre produced via vacuum infusion giving both great strength and superior finish. Once the parts have been produced and pulled from the mould, they are checked and tested thoroughly before heading to lacquer. Each part is inspected further and checked for tolerances before being hand and machine polished, followed by being waxed and sealed in with high content Carnauba products from our partner Race Glaze.
The rear lower bumper splitters are easy install, although fitting is quite straight forward we do always recommend using a trained professional to undertake the installation. We estimate around 45 minutes to fit the full set.
